The Lombardi Family of Malta had it's origin in 1880 when Giovanni Lombardi (Italian) married Giuseppina Weiss (born in Egypt in 1857. From this marriage Emilio Lombardi was born in Alexandria (Egypt) on 14.01.81. Emilio was brought to Malta in 1891 when he was only 10 years old.
When he grew older he took the printing trade and on the counsel of Giuse Abela he started to write novels in Maltese, commonly known as Rumanzi.
Emilio Lombardi married Fortunata Galea in Floriana Parish Church on 04.11.1901
The coat of arm of the Lombardi Family of Malta was always considered to be made of nine staggered square, coloured in silver and light blue.
