The Tomasi family are of sicilian stock whom held the island of Lampedusa, near Malta. They were Princes of Lampedusa and Dukes of Palma in Sicily.
The original Tomasi came from Siena, Italy and settled in Sicily. Created Senators and Patricans of Rome and were grandees of Spain.
This family is truelly a blue-blooded family in the similiar accord to the Crispo's of Naxos Islands, which are very well inter-bred with much of the highest families in Italy.
Some Tomasi's members have left their mark in Malta through the Knights or younger members of the noble family.
